"It's not about politics, it's not about Greek or Hebrew, it's not about money or the lack of it. It's not about space, or amount of time spent in prayer, or promise rings or bracelets or tatoos of verses in the original languages around your calves. It's not about freeing yourself from legalism and boozing it up over the weekend, it's not about running into the arms of the black and white from a life of overindulging. It's not about being able to explain the trinity, deliver a perfect three point alliterated sermon, or give stunning rendition of the four spiritual laws. It's not about being a dispensational calvinist evangelical (gasp!) and it's not about being some stupid amassment of contradictions ("I'm a liberal/conservative/green party/independant" who ends up not even putting a vote out there).
It's about Jesus. And me. Forever in that order. And all the other stuff may be important, or it may be incredibly inconsequential, but one thing is for sure: it will always be secondary."
